Timbou 698 km from Lome : Official launch of the project ‘VILLAGES of AIMES – Africa’


Ten (10) villages benefit from the ‘Community development’ of AIMES Africa programme.
Launched two (2) weeks ago in the village of KUMA APOTI (Kloto Prefecture 160 km from Lomé) on behalf of the plateaux region, AIMES Africa were held to support the best students and conduct systematic deworming of all students on the eve of the new school year. A dozen projects in four (4) areas of activities in health, education, sanitation, children‘s rights and promotion of incomegenerating activities will be carried out in these 10 pilot villages. The objective is to support bright students living in rural areas and promote a genuine development of these communities at the base.
Thus the component AIMES Africa education is made effective again this Saturday, September 26, 2015, with the sponsorship of three best students of the Savanes region. These have benefited from a school scholarship, kits, greater support for the continuation of their studies. AIMES Africa was honoured by the presence of the prefect of Cinkasse, of the Prefectoral health, the Township head and Faculty Director.


The project was welcomed with a great satisfaction and appreciation for the entire population. Evidenced by the words of the prefecture authorities held to thank the donors who have urged parents to play their role in the supervision of their children.
Note that in each economic region of Togo, two (2) villages are retained to know the region of savanna (Timbou and Takpamba), (Atalote, Cristian) Kara region, central region (Fazao, Tchifama), the plateaux region (Illico, KoumaApoti) and finally the maritime region (Djakpleme, Lovissakope) will benefit from these actions.. This project has been implemented thanks to the support of various partners national and international based in Germany.
Each year 50 scholarship ranging from 100,000 to 200,000 fr cfa per year will be given to each child deserving to support their education up to the University.


Saddened of the selection of their village, the Chief and his chiefs did not fail to thank most sincerely the Chairman of AIMES Africa for this noble initiative of Développement à la base as well as the various donors, sponsors and partners of the project ‘Villages of AIMES Africa’.
